KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 14.33 g, 4 h), Amphipolis, struck under Antipater, Polyperchon or Kassander, circa 323/2-316/5. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦIΛIΠΠOY Nude jockey on horseback to right, holding long palm branch in his right hand and reins with his left; below horse, wreath and Τ. Le Rider, pl. 45, 27. Nicely toned. Test cut and some scratches on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
